Marcos Póvoa — Founder & CEO
Marcos Póvoa (full name Marcos da Cunha Povoa) brings thirty years of leadership in Consumer Goods and twenty-five years inside the industry–retail relationship.
For 30 years I have had one obsession: making the industry–retail relationship actually work at the point of sale. It started inside the industry. As a senior operator at PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, Mars and Bauducco, I refused to accept that flawed retail execution was inevitable — so I pushed for technology that didn't yet exist, got startups to build it, and tested relentlessly until execution turned into results. At Bauducco, superior execution helped grow revenue from ~US$300M to ~US$1B in three years. But I stayed restless. None of the tools were complete. So I stopped waiting and built: I founded Scanntech Brazil (a Sequoia Latin America portfolio company), pioneering Revenue Growth Management and retail analytics in emerging markets, and later led MC1 as CEO and Board member, scaling AI-powered retail execution to more than 50 countries. Along the way I earned a reputation among global CPGs as a real catalyst of results through AI — measurable ROI at enterprise scale, not hype. And I am still restless. There is no truly global, complete, AI-native platform serving modern trade across 200 countries. That is the consolidation I now help drive through Global Scale Advisors — as the operating partner who executes the build, bringing the field expertise that turns a fragmented market into one structurally independent global platform.
